3T started life as a master drop bar manufacturer. Nobody else had the same technical ability to manipulate tubing, and thus 3T became the first company to focus on more ergonomic (i.e. more complex) shapes. The previous generation, the Ergonova, was lauded worldwide as the top ergonomic bar. In fact, it was so good, we didn't touch the center section at all when designing the new SuperErgo. We did change everything else though, ensuring the SuperErgo will continue 3T's streak as the ergo bar of choice for road cyclists. Drop Grip: The gradual change in curvature makes the grips comfortable for hands of all sizes. The tighter top bend ensures the newest Shimano, SRAM, and Campagnolo shift/brake levers align perfectly for a very comfortable hand position on the hoods. Center Grip: When we surveyed our customers about their desires for this new ergonomic bar, amateur and professionals alike pleaded with us not to change this area at all. It's that comfortable. Thomson custom-drawn alloy drop bars are optimized with performance-based bends, paired with tough, durable features. The lineup includes 3 profiles with varying widths, shapes and flares to meet all disciplines of drop bar goodness. Made from 7000 series aluminum, and sharing the carbon drop bar shapes, the alloy drops feature 3 profiles a mid flat, a round profile, and the flared dirt drop. The mid-flat is minimal in design and big on comfort. The flat diameter stays small enough so to not restrict hand movements when riding on the tops. Concave shaping on the bottom side allows housing to be taped and out of the way. The round profile and flare dirt drop share similar top profiles with custom-drawn ergonomic bends.

FSA's Energy Compact handlebars push aluminum technology as far as it can go. Burgtec's first range of signature handlebars developed with, yes you've guessed it! Josh Bryceland. Josh loved the sweep and rise of the Ride Wide Bars but asked us to make him something a bit higher. The Rat isn't one of those guys that's 'crazy' on setup, but he knows what he wants. - 38MM RISE: Back in 2018 Josh's idea was for something more versatile that he could use on all his bikes. After testing various prototypes, he finally narrowed it down to a 38mm rise bar, the perfect sweet spot. The first material thought was Carbon but after getting to ride various Alloy prototypes he just got more comfortable on Alloy. So, the 38mm "Ride High" was born. The same unsurpassed comfort and durability as all of the Ride Wide range, but just a little Higher. - 50MM RISE: It's fair to say high rise bars have taken a back seat over the last decade much in part to the increasing wheel sizes pushing up front ends of bikes and riders trying to match their previous riding positions. After first coming to us a little over 3 years ago and deciding on the 38mm rise bar Josh wanted to quite literally raise the bar once again. We'd previously prototyped the 50mm bar alongside the 38s but at the time just felt they looked out of place. With more riders moving towards 29ers we felt the market just wasn't ready for them. Josh quickly adapted to the 38s but still felt he was running a lot of stack on his bikes. So with more frequency, he was popping in to Burgtec HQ asking if we had any of the 50mm rise bars left. In the end, we ran out of prototype bars, and Rats a very persuasive guy so we just decided to go into production with the 50s. For Josh, he loves how the higher rise allows for more maneuverability as well as getting rid of the excess stack height. Plus, being a taller rider, they keep his weight where he wants it and freely admits "It's easier on my back".
