Suspension service is a specialty within bicycle repair, and it takes specialized tools to perform this work. One of the things that any factory tech will tell you is nice to have are sockets specifically made or altered for the low profile hex on the top of each fork leg. The lead-in or chamfer on a standard socket will greatly decrease the contact between tool and part and can easily scratch or deform those nuts. For years shops have been grinding down their sockets to remove the chamfer. The problem is that you're still often left with a loose-fitting socket that is still prone to chewing up those delicate parts. That's why we started from scratch. We made our sockets from billet aluminum to exacting tolerances to keep these parts in good shape. Fully CNC-machined with zero lead-in, they make the specialty that is suspension service a little bit easier. They feature a 3/8" square drive for use with your favorite torque wrench as well as finger splines to help run the top caps into the fork legs with those oil soaked hands. A balanced all-in-one handlebar pack for challenging trails. The Backcountry Handlebar Pack is designed to carry light, compressible items on long-distance rides and multi-day adventures. Eliminating the need for a bulky front rack, it helps to create a balanced load that makes steep climbs or technical sections effortless. The Pack hits the sweet spot between low weight, durability and all-weather capability, and the roll-top closure system protects gear while allowing adjustment of the Pack’s capacity as required. A simple but strong attachment system secures the Pack to handlebars, and anti-slip Hypalon safeguards against wear. Materials The Backcountry Handlebar Pack is made from Dimension-Polyant VX21, a four-layer laminated fabric originally developed for the maritime industry. Designed to fit the demands of off-road riding, the material combines waterproofing, light weight, low stretch, and high abrasion and tear resistance. The handlebar attachments are reinforced with Hypalon, a durable rubberized nylon that provides extra protection against friction and puncture. For the fastening system, Woojin buckles have been chosen for strength and reliability, while 600D fabric provides an extra safeguard in areas of high abrasion.

Eliminating the need for a bulky front rack, the Pack fastens to handlebars with a reinforced attachment system that adds stability while improving handling and preventing abrasion. Dual roll-top closure keeps the contents secure, while allowing flexible packing capacity. A hands-free air release vent makes compressing the Pack hassle-free, while welded seams ensure that contents stay dry in all conditions. Materials The Expedition Handlebar Pack is cut from a three-layer laminate fabric that was developed specifically for Apidura. The material is lightweight, and is highly resistant to tears and abrasion. Notably, it’s welded together at the seams, creating a watertight seal that ensures complete waterproofing. The Handlebar Pack’s attachment points are reinforced with Hypalon, a rubberized nylon used to provide extra protection against friction and abrasion. For the straps, we’ve chosen Woojin buckles for their strength and reliability.

The Steel-O-Chain™ 9809K Chain Lock provides great protection against theft with an XPlus locking cylinder specially developed by ABUS The ABUS XPlus cylinder built into the lock body is even more picking-resistant than its predecessor and offers excellent protection against manipulation of the bicycle lock. The 9-millimetre square chain as well as the housing and structural parts of the locking mechanism are made of specially hardened steel. The lock has been awarded ABUS security level 12 out of 15. In order to protect the paintwork on the bike in the long run, the steel chain is covered with a textile sleeve. Even the keyhole has a cover to protect it from dirt and corrosion.
